Classic McLaren wines is in the heart of the McLaren Vale region,  just south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula.  The area is world famous for its Shiraz and gutsy red blends.  The region's hot summers, cool maritime breezes and clay/limestone soils produce grapes of exceptional ripeness and flavour that enable winemaker Tony De Lisio to pursue his philosophy of minimal intervention in the winery.  He creates powerful wines that really express their origins.  The CMC range are exceptionally well made wines and represent great value for money.  The stunning La Testa Reserve range is highly regarded by wine critic Robert Parker, so you know what to expect - big wines certainly - full of fruit and spice, but very well structured with seamlessly integrated oak.  They will develop even more complexity over the coming years.
